Forget quilting - we’re talking quilling! On Thursday, April 10th at 6:00 PM, the Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley invites you to get crafty and learn the ancient art of paper quilling.

Never heard of it? Picture thin strips of paper, curled, looped, and swirled into stunning, decorative designs. It’s like giving paper a fancy little makeover. And fun fact - quilling has been around since the 15th century! Legend has it that early crafters rolled paper on goose quills (hence the name) to create intricate artwork. Fancy, right?

Guiding your quilling journey is none other than Sandie Craven-Griffiths, a seasoned quilling pro with over 30 years of experience. Believe it or not, she first picked up this hobby during her days as a police officer in England. Now, she’s the proud owner of Cats in the Attic Cards, creating beautiful, handcrafted cards, gift boxes, and keepsakes.

The workshop will be held at the H.A.R.P. Museum on the second floor of the Irish Cultural Center. Plus, the space is wheelchair-accessible, so everyone’s welcome!
