Ladies (and gents, if you're feeling fancy), it’s time to channel your inner fashionista because the Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley is hosting an event you won’t want to miss. On Wednesday, April 30th at 7:00 PM, we’re inviting you to a fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll get to Create Your Own Fascinator - those cute little hats that add just the right touch of elegance and whimsy!
As we start thinking about Saratoga’s racing season (hello, Kentucky Derby on May 3rd and the Belmont Stakes back at Saratoga on June 7th), what better way to get into the spirit than by making your very own fascinator? These versatile, head-turning hats perch perfectly on the side of your head, making you look instantly stylish no matter what the occasion.
What’s in store for the night?
You’ll have a blast picking from three gorgeous color palettes:
Pink/Purple
Yellow/Navy/Emerald
Mocha/Pale Pink/Tangerine (These are Spring 2025 trending colors, so you’re basically ahead of the curve.)
Not feeling the colors we picked? No problem! Feel free to bring your own materials. Just reach out to Patty Foley at patty.foley@iccmv.org for a materials list, and get creative.
Best part? It’s FREE to attend! We do ask for a small donation to help cover the costs of materials, snacks, and refreshments (because, let's be real, crafting is better with a little treat in hand).
To register, simply email us at info@iccmv.org or leave a message at 315-733-4228 Ext 6. We can’t wait to see the masterpieces you’ll create!
So, grab your thinking cap, bring your creativity, and let’s make some fascinators that’ll have you feeling like a million bucks – or at least ready for the races!
See all of our upcoming cultural events!
