On Thursday September 17 at 7 PM, the Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley will continue its reflection of the Sept 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with a look at “Ireland’s 9/11 Memorials and Heroes.”

It is estimated that of the nearly 3,000 people killed as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, nearly 1,000 were of Irish descent, including at least 18 people holding Irish citizenship. The presentation will focus on some of the memorials that have since been built in Ireland and the inspiration behind their construction. 

Meet Our Presenter

Michael Hoke is a local musician and historian and a fan of all things Irish. He and his wife Chris were recently in Ireland visiting these sites.
